This tutorial was written by Pints on June 15th 2008 any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental, completely my own work.Please do not take this tutorial as use it as your own, but you may print for own personal use and link to my group.
I used PSPX1 but it should work with other versions.
Supplies needed:-
Scrapkit by Gorjuss
It’s a payfer one but you could use any kit with some nice papers for this tutorial.
Tube of Choice
I used Gorjuss by Suzanne Woolcott
Masks by WeeScottLass
Masks 26, Mask 207, Mask 239
Go to download section for masks.
Font Of choice I used Exaggerate
Lets Go!
When using scrap kits when you resize them you need to resize using smart size and then sharpen by going Adjust Sharpen or the elements get faded and don’t look as good. So when it says resize use this step.
New canvas 600 x 600 flood fill white.
Open the dark black paper.
Resize by 20%
New raster layer/flood fill with this layer.
Layers/new mask layer/from image.
Choose mask 26
Source luminance clicked/ok
Delete mask layer.
Merge group.
Open the purple love heart paper.
Resize by 20%
New raster layer, flood fill with this paper.
Duplicate so you have 3 layers of this paper.
Hide the top 2.
On the bottom layer.
Layers/new mask layer from image
Choose mask 207
Source luminance clicked/ok
Delete mask layer.
Merge group.
Unhide the 2nd layer of this paper.
Repeat the above mask layer using mask 239.
Open the frame.
Copy/paste as new layer.
Adjust/hue & saturation/colorize
Changing the hue to 230 and saturation to 38.
Duplicate the frame layer.
Image resize by 105%
Using magic wand click inside the bottom frame layer.
Selection/modify/expand 5/invert
Unhide top purple paper layer
Hit delete on this layer.
Select none.
Add tube.
Add drop shadow.
Duplicate.
Drag one layer below frames.
Drag one layer above frames.
On the top tube layer using eraser erase any of the tube that is showing at the bottom of the frame. This will give you a neat edge.
Add anymore elements.
On the star I colourized the same way I did the frame.
Add drop shadows.
Add name.
Resize by 85% if you wish.
Add copyright.
If you want a transparent background erase the white background layer.
If not merge all visible.
Save as png.
Your Done.
