Spring tulips

This tutorial was written by Pints on March 17th 2008 any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental, completely my own work. Please do not take this tutorial as use it as your own, but you may print for own personal use and link to my group.

I used PSPX1 but it should work with other versions.

Supplies needed:-

I used scrap kit from nitwit collections called Tiptoe through the tulips and the Tuliptalk alpha wit which can be found

HERE

Sorry I cant supply its paid kit.

I used the Gorjuss work from Suzanne Woolcott which can be found

HERE

If you don’t want to buy the Alphawits choose your own font.

I used Becky mask 19 but if you don’t have choose your own.

You will need a scallop preset shape, I cant supply mine because I don’t know where it came from - but they are easy to find on the net.

If you cant try find a scallop shape look in your kits and flood fill it with the pattern.

Lets go!

Open new canvas 600 x 600 and flood fill white

Open bg_tulips_maryfran and resize.

Open bg_soft pink_maryfran and resize.

Set you foreground and stoke properties with the soft pink paper and your background with the tulip paper.

Using your scallop preset shape width 3 draw out a scallop circle on your canvas. When happy convert to raster layer.

Change your shape to eclipse width 10, foreground null

Draw another circle and place this ontop of your scallop shape.

See my tag for placement, when happy convert to raster layer.

Add drop shadows to these two layers and merge visible.

Copy and paste your tulip paper below your frame layer.

Back on your frame layer with your magic tool select inside the frame.

Selections/modify/expand3/invert.

On your paper layer hit delete.

On your tube layer hit delete.

Select none.

Add your tube.

If you are using the same tube as mine and want your tube to look like it is coming out of the frame duplicate it and move one above your frame and one below.

With your eraser tool on the top copy erase the edges roughly.

Don’t add a deep drop shadow to this layer as it will then show.

But now your tube should look neat.

New raster layer, flood fill with striped paper/pattern of choice.

Open your mask.

Layers/new mask layer

Source luminance clicked/ok

Delete mask layer.

Merge group.

Add all over elements etc, see my tag for placement.

Add your name.

Add drop shadows of choice to all your elements etc.

Once you have added the first drop shadow just click on edit/repeat drop shadow, I find this way a lot easier.

Resize all layers by 80%.

Add copyright.

If you want a transparent background delete your white background.

Merge all layers visible.

Save as png.

Your done.

Thankyou for doing my tut and I hope you enjoyed it.
