Moonica and friends


This tutorial was written by Pints on 21st June 2008 any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental, completely my own work. Please do not take this tutorial as use it as your own, but you may print for own personal use and link to my group.

 

Supplies Needed

 

I used PSPX1 but should work in other versions.

Animation Shop

 

Scrapkits by lliella called Candy Picnic and Moonica & Friends

Font of choice, I used Cry Kitty.

Tube of choice, i used Gorjuss

Lets go!

 

Please remember to save often on this one!

 

When using scrap kits when you resize them you need to resize using smart size and then sharpen by going Adjust Sharpen or the elements get faded and don’t look as good. So when it says resize use this step.

 

Open new canvas 600 x 600 pixels and flood fill white.

 

From the picnic kit open the yellow rectangle frame.

Resize.

Edit/copy/paste as new layer on working canvas.

 

Open the flowers

Resize/paste as new layers around your frame.

Hide the background and frame layer.

Merge all visible.

Unhide the background and frame layer.

 

Open the bows

Resize/copy/paste as new layers.

See my tag for placement.

 

Open paper 6 from the picnic kit.

Resize by 15%

Copy/paste as new layer below frame layer.

 

On frame layer using magic wand click inside the frame.

Selections/modify/expand 5/invert.

On paper layer hit delete.

Select none.

 

Open the closed door barn from the Moonica kit

Resize by 15%

Edit/copy/paste as new layer.

 

Open the felt grass from the Moonica kit

Resize by 20%

Edit/copy paste as new layer above frame layer.

Duplicate/image/mirror

Using mover tool move this grass layer up a little so we can put the animals between the two layers.

 

Add your tube below grass layers.

 

Add drop shadow.

Duplicate

Drag the bottom one below the frame layer.

Using your eraser on the top tube erase parts of the tube to make it look like it is both inside and outside the frame.

 

Open the tree from the Picnic kit

Resize by 20%

Duplicate, drag one layer below barn.

Using the same method we used for the tube, erase parts of top layer tree to make it look like it is coming out of the frame.

 

Open the cow head, horsehead, sheephead, pighead 1

Resize

Edit/copy/paste as new layers between your grass layers.

Open the cowhead,horsehead,sheephead, pighead 2

Resize

Edit/copy/paste as new layers above your other animal heads

Using your mover tool, position the heads 2 directly above the other heads

So

Cowhead 2 will cover cowhead 1, etc….

Erase any of the grass that you don’t want showing, I used selection tool then hit delete.

 

Add the fence.

Duplicate another layer of the grass and drag above the fence.

 

Add anymore elements that you would like on your tag.

 

Add your name.

 

Resize all layers by 85%

 

Add Copyright.

 

Merge all visible.

 

Edit/copy

 

Over in AS shop paste as new animation.

 

Back in psp undo.

 

Hide the farm animal heads 2.

 

Merge all visible.

 

Edit/copy

 

Over in AS paste after current frame.
