This tutorial was written by Pints on April 8th 2008 any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental, completely my own work. Please do not take this tutorial as use it as your own, but you may print for own personal use and link to my group.
I used PSPX1 but it should work with other versions.
Supplies needed:-
Freebie scrap kit by Monti called Dragonfly which can be found
Font of choice I used Juliet Regular which can be found free
I used the Gorjuss work from Suzanne Woolcott which can be found
I used 2 masks
Becky 22 & Becky 34 attached.
Lets go!
When using scrap kits when you resize them you need to resize using smart size and then sharpen by going Adjust Sharpen or the elements get faded and don’t look as good. So when it says resize use this step.
Open new 600 x 600 canvas and flood fill white.
Open Montidragonfly-ribbon-purple
Copy/paste as new layer.
Move to top of canvas
Duplicate/image/mirror
Duplicate/image/free rotate/90/left
Duplicate/image/mirror.
With your mover tool move so you have a square frame.
Merge these layers.
Open buttons paste as new layers.
Use my tag for placement.
Merge the button layers.
Add drop shadow.
Duplicate button layer.
Image/mirror.
Duplicate/ image/flip
Duplicate/image/mirror.
You should now have buttons around the corners of your frame.
Merge the buttons and the frame.
Image/free rotate/12/left.
Open paper of choice I used
Montidragonfly-papers-flowers-purple.
Copy and paste as new layer below frame layer.
Add tube of choice above paper layer.
On frame layer using magic wand click inside the frame.
Selections/modify/expand/2/invert
On paper & tube layer hit delete.
Now add your dragonfly elements, swirls & tag.
Add your name on the tag.
Open the monti purple dragonfly paper.
New raster layer flood fill with this paper.
Duplicate this paper and hide the top one.
On the bottom one.
Layers new mask layer, from image and click on your beckymask 22.
Click on source luminance then ok
Delete your mask layer and then merge group.
Unhide the top paper and on this layer.
Layers new mask layer, from image and click on your beckymask 35.
Click on source luminance then ok
Delete your mask layer and then merge group.
You may need to resize these layers a little if you want the same look as mine.
Resize all layers by 80%.
Add copyright.
Merge all layers visible and save as png of jpeg file.
Your done!
