This tutorial was written by Pints on May 31st 2008 any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental, completely my own work. Please do not take this tutorial as use it as your own, but you may print for own personal use and link to my group.
Supplies Needed
I used PSPX1 but should work in other versions.
Scrapkit by Kay Miller called My Pretty Kitty
Font of choice, I used A&S Cricket.
Mask of choice I used WeeScotlass mask 147 Please go to download section for masks.
Lets go!
Please remember to save often on this one!
When using scrap kits when you resize them you need to resize using smart size and then sharpen by going Adjust Sharpen or the elements get faded and don’t look as good. So when it says resize use this step.
Open new canvas 600 x 600 pixels and flood fill white.
Open paper KMILL_bkgd8 Resize by 20% Open new raster layer on working canvas and flood fill with this paper.
Layers/new mask layer/from image Choose WSL147 from drop down menu Source luminance clicked/ok Delete mask. Merge group.
Open KMILL_frame 1 Resize/copy/paste as new layer.
Open paper KMILL_bkgd3 Resize by 15% Copy/paste as new layer.
On paper layer using selection tool erase any paper that is overhanging frame by selecting the area then hitting delete. Select none.
Add tube of choice.
Open scalloped border Resize/copy/paste as new layer.
Open Bows Resize/copy/paste as new layers.
Add your name I used a different colour for each letter Vector size 48 Add your first letter convert to raster layer Add second letter convert to raster layer Keep repeating until you have all your name finished.
Inner bevel each letter (click on first letter apply bevel, then click on next letter edit/repeat inner bevel, repeat until you have bevelled all your letters)
Bevel 2 Width 5 Smoothness 31 Depth 5 Ambience 0 Shininess 8 Angle 315 Intensity 38 Elevation 42 Colour white.
Open the five cats Resize/copy/paste as new layers. Important to make sure that the 2nd and 4th cat are the bottom layers.
Open anymore elements you would like. Resize/copy/paste as new layers.
Open the mouse Resize/copy/paste as new layer above the 1st cat (green). Image/mirror
Add drop shadows V&H1 Opacity 50 Blur 5 Colour white.
Resize all layers by 85%.
Add copyright.
Animation.
Patience equals great results!
Merge all visible Copy
Open AS shop/paste as new animation.
Back in PSP click undo button.
With your arrow keys move your little mouse about ¼ way along the bottom For each side of the frame we will have 4 frames.
Merge all visible Copy
In as shop paste after current animation.
Back in as shop repeat until you get to the first corner of the frame.
Image/free rotate/left/90 degrees Image mirror.
Repeat the above steps until your mouse has gone up the side of the frame. You should have around 8 frames now.
When your ready to turn your mouse Image/free rotate/left 90 degrees
As your mouse goes along the top we want to make him look like he is going behind the letters and in front, so I would do 2 letters at a time. The last two letters of your name drag your mouse layer so he is below the letter layers. Then for the next two letters drag the mouse so he is above the letters. Keep repeating until you have finished. When you get to the edge of your frame Image/free rotate/left 90 degrees.
Bring the mouse down the 4th side of the frame. Again you should have about 4 frames. When you get to the bottom where the cat is you may need to drag the mouse layer below the cat layer.
When you are done Edit/select all Animation/frame properties 25.
View your animation and when your happy save as gif and your done.
Thank you for doing this tutorial and I hope you are happy with your results. Well done! Hugs Pints.x.
