This tutorial was written by Chaughna on May 29th 2008 any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental, completely my own work. Please do not steal my tutorial and use it as your own, if you want to share it then please link people to my group. Thank you.
I used PSP9 but it should work with other versions.
Supplies needed:-
I used scrap kit from Butterfly Hollow Designs. It is a free kit called Bluegrass Summers. If you download it, please make sure you leave her some love, it's really quite cute! Filters Unlimited 2, mask feature or I have attached the one I used.
I used the artwork of Suzanne Woolcott under my license number. You may purchase her tubes/images from AMI HERE
Font is 5th grader, a fave of mine in case you can't tell. LOL! Lets Go!
Open a new 600 x 600 transparent image. Open paper of choice from your scrap kit, I used PaperGreenGrunge_BHD. Resize to 500x500 pixels. Promote background to raster layer. Apply your mask. Merge group in your layer palette. Copy & close out your original. DO NOT save. Paste as new layer on your work in progress (WIP). Repeat with a second paper. I used PaperPinkCorrugated_BHD_BHD. After you paste it on your WIP, free rotate this layer 10% to the left. All layers NOT checked. Open up a final paper, I used PapeGoldScript_BHD. Resize to 500x500 pixels. Image canvas size 500x400. Wider than tall. New layer, select all, activate your paper layer, Image: crop to selection. This will make it so the extra pixels you resized off aren't hanging out there in invisible world. Promote background layer. Mask it. Merge it. Copy it. Close it. DO NOT save changes. Paste it on your WIP. I used a tube & an image. Lucky for me, my image was the perfect size, no resizing needed. If you do need to resize your image, copy & paste it onto your WIP & resize it till it's smaller than your top paper, so we can frame it into it. Inner bevel your image with these settings (another fave): Bevel 2 Width 2 Smoothness 0 Depth 5 Ambience / Shininess 0 Color White Angle 135 Intensity 50 Elevation 30 Add your tube. Mine had a straight cut bottom, so she sits perfect on my image crease. If yours doesn't, than just cut her off, no biggie. Use your selection tool & then hit delete. On your bottom layer, should be blank & be raster 1, add a new layer. Add leaves or brushes or whatever you wish to liven up your background. Use a ribbon of choice to set off the top of your image/tube & 'tie' it down with two bows of choice. Add some pretty flower trios here & there. I added the Hummingbird & glass Butterfly, the two main reasons I loved this kit. NOW, go back & adjust, sharpen anything that needs it, ESP the second paper you added & rotated. Maybe even sharpen twice, up to you.I added a drop shadow to every layer, including my bottom leaves & brush layer:Vertical & Horizontal 3 Opacity 40 Blur 5 Color Black Then I went back & double added a drop shadow to all three papers: Vertical & Horizontal 0 Opacity 60 Blur 15 Color Black I did it twice per paper layer. Add your text or name as you wish. Rotate & inner bevel & drop shadow, same as above.
Resize to 500 pixels with all layers checked. Add your copyright. Save as JPEG (F12).
Your done!
Thank you for doing this tutorial and I hope you enjoyed.
